What was the highlight of Alain Hotel
Good for a short stay if the budget is tight
The staff was very helpful and did their best to assist, but their capabilities were limited by the hotel’s condition. The hotel is outdated, with rooms in need of serious maintenance or even renovation. Finding a room without a lingering cigarette odor was challenging. Although management tries hard to retain guests, I believe that soon, even a highly professional team won’t be enough to make up for the hotel's declining state.
My initial room was disappointing, with a noticeable hole in the ceiling revealed when I opened the curtains, which themselves had several burn marks. The next day, however, the staff was quick to respond and moved me to a better room where I stayed for the rest of the week. Breakfast was a bit unusual—not only was the selection limited, but brewed coffee came at an extra charge, with only instant coffee included. Given my room experience, the manager graciously offered brewed coffee as a courtesy. Overall, the hotel shows its age, but the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. One note: the hotel is quite far from Ajman beach, about a 5 km walk. There are plenty of supermarkets and food options nearby, mostly Indian and Arabic, so if you’re after lighter fare like I was, be prepared to walk or take a taxi to the beach area.
